On behalf of the Department of Ichthyology and Aquatic Environment (DIAE) of the University of Thessaly, the Department of Fisheries and Aquaculture (DFA) of the University of Patras, the Department of Marine Sciences (DMS) of the University of the Aegean and the Panhellenic Society of Technologists Ichthyologists (PASTI), we are proud to announce the 5th International Congress on Applied Ichthyology, Oceanography, and Aquatic Environment (HydroMediT 2024) to be held from 30 May to 2 June 2024 on the premises of the University of the Aegean in Mytilene, Greece.
The main theme of this year's HydroMediT Congress is “Integrating Research and Scientific Collaboration to Foster Sustainability of the Blue Economy”, on our effort to highlight the need for policy makers, industry players, and scientists to work together and deal with the different challenges of Blue Economy.
At the congress, a broad range of topics will be covered through oral presentations and e-poster sessions, also having a keynote speech and invited lectures from renowned researchers across Europe.
We believe that the HydroMediT 2024 Congress will bring together in its parallel sessions different experiences from our region and its adjacent seas, while offering many networking opportunities.
